Who is Carolina Revello and What Does She Blog About?
Carolina Revello is a young woman who started a blog due to her passion for books! She loved reading so much that she decided to start a blog on her favorite books. Currently, she is taking a Physics course at her local University. She is one smart woman! Carolina’s website is clean, crisp and beautiful. I really enjoyed reading her review on, A Boy Made of Blocks. It is a story of a family raising a son with autism. Since I also wrote a book on raising a son with autism, I can appreciate how difficult it is for a family to survive in the autism world. Check our Carolina Revello’s website here:
The Story of My Blog
I stumbled on a love of writing accidentally. I had started a private page on Facebook for my son Kyle, who has autism. We asked a group of close friends and relatives to pray for our son Kyle since we had run out of resources, and doctors were no longer able to help him with his long list of health problems. As I posted each week, my writing became more and more eloquent and descriptive. The members in the group started encouraging me to write a book about our beautiful story of hope. I refused. They kept on… I refused again and again.
I had developed a habit of talking God’s ear off every day since I was in despair, and he decided one day that it was his turn to do the talking. He kindly asked me to write a book and I refused. I knew nothing about writing a book. I didn’t even know how to use Microsoft Word. After a very long argument and many tears, I agreed to the unthinkable task and created, Beauty from Ashes. By the time I had finished our story a year later, I had fallen in love with writing.
This true story had such an unusual ending that I decided to start a blog and allow readers to continue on this journey with our family. I now look forward to grabbing my coffee every morning at 4:00 am and going up to my office and writing. We live in a very busy and noisy home, and this is the only time of day I am guaranteed some quiet and I cherish it immensely!
I still consider myself a new blogger and also a new writer. Blogging isn’t simple and you have to build a strong reader base to thrive in the blogging world. Being nominated means another blogger appreciates all the love and hard work you put into your blog.
