I met Serena through my daughter-in-law, Jazmin. Serena is one of Jazmin’s closest friends and has been an incredibly loving and supportive friend to her. I am so thankful for Serena and the sweet and lovely young women that she is.
Life With Serena
A Little About Me
Hey there everyone, my name is Serena Reimer, I am a 20-year-old woman who married my best friend last summer. My husband and I attended Bible College, where we met and began dating. After school, we did a long distance relationship for almost a year before we got married.
I am originally from Sudbury, Ontario. When I married my husband Braden I moved to Port Rowan, Ontario. My husband is a farmer, so we live on a beautiful farm. I work a few different jobs, I am a blogger who runs a blog called, The Little Farmers Wife. I also work as an office assistant at my church. My husband and I are about to open our own business, so I will soon be working that as well. I am also currently in school, studying to become a nutritionist.
A huge part of my story is my health. A few years back I suffered daily from extreme abdominal pain, fevers, fatigue and nausea. At the age of 17, I knew that something was wrong, after countless trips to the hospital, inconclusive results, and no answers, I decided to take natural route with my health.
To make a long story short, about a year and a half later, I was diagnosed with IBS (irritable bowel syndrome), and numerous food intolerance. At this point in my life, I had to make major lifestyle changes, cutting out gluten, dairy, corn, eggs, and the list goes on. I remember feeling so horrible that I honestly didn’t know if I would ever feel healthy again.
My health has become a huge part of my story, through it, I have been able to share my struggles while encouraging others who are on their own health journeys.

My Daily Routine
I always start my days with a hot cup of bulletproof coffee, devotions and breakfast. My days vary depending on what job I am working that day. If I am not working at the church, I work on my blog (The Little Farmers Wife), creating content, developing recipes, and writing blog posts. Now that it is busy season here on the farm, my husband is working long hours. Which means I have a lot of extra time to myself right now. So I have been spending a lot of time gardening, being outside and getting ready to open our new business. We are opening our own farmers market in just a few weeks, where we will sell fresh produce, local products and some baked goods.
Somewhere in my day I usually go for a nice long walk and do a workout. I love staying active, especially in the summertime.
I love ending my days with a bubble bath and a good book.

Daily Struggles
Sometimes juggling a few jobs, and being in school can be a lot. I am someone who can easily take on way to much, and exhaust myself until I crash.
- Anyone who knows me knows that I have the tendency to worry like crazy. This was something that when I was younger really affected me. When I became a Christian, the Lord has been working in me, allowing me to trust him instead of worrying about situations. This is still something that I struggle with daily, but as I continue to trust in the Lord, my worrying subsides.
- Being a new wife, has been one of the most rewarding things in my life. I love learning and growing with Braden. When we got married I moved six hours away from my family and friends. I have struggled with homesickness, and being so far from my family. God has really given me great in-laws, and new friends to support me, but I still do miss my family and friends. I sure am thankful for God’s faithfulness, and FaceTime 😉
- One of my other struggles is Trusting God. Some of you may know Cindy’s daughter in law, Jazmin. She has been my best friend since I was two. When we were sixteen she was diagnosed with stage four cancer. Over the years, Jazmin has slowly become more sick, her symptoms have worsened and her tumours have continued to grow. At 16 I never thought that my best friend would have cancer, I never imagined that I would be walking with her through this. Watching her lately has been heartbreaking, as most of her days, she is in pain, sore and tired. Learning to Trust God has been a challenge, and growing experience. I really do believe that God’s plan is perfect and has a purpose, but it is scary at times not knowing the outcome of the situation.

Daily Joys
I love so many parts of my day, but what I love most is the people I get to share it with. My husband is one of my greatest joys. We were married at the age of nineteen, and it has been my greatest joy to learn, grow and do life with him daily.
💗My greatest joy in life is my salvation. I am always blown away by God’s amazing love for his people, and for me. I am so thankful for His love, and the relationship I can have with Christ.
💗I love waking up in the morning to a coffee that Braden has made for me.
💗I love spending time with family and friends.
💗 I love getting a good workout in every day.

My Dreams
As a young woman, I have many dreams, especially lately. I have so many dreams, some little, and some big. One dream I have is to write a book someday, whether that is a cookbook or something that the Lord lays upon my heart. If you had asked me six months ago, I never would have said I would even want to write a book. English has never been my strong point, but about six months ago I started my own blog because I felt as though the Lord had laid it upon my heart.
One thing I have learned is that what God brings you to he will equip you to do.
Moments with God
God has proven himself to me over and over again. Having a relationship with Christ has given me hope, forgiveness, and purpose. Christ gives me hope daily, as I walk through hardships and trials I know that I can find hope in Christ no matter what the situation might be. Christ had given me a purposeful life before I was a Christian I walked through life trying to figure out what exactly my purpose was. Now I know that my purpose is to be a light in this dark world, to share the gospel and to live a life pleasing to God.
Having walked with God for years now, He continues to show me and remind me that He truly is a good father.
My favourite verse reflects my journey with God as I continue to trust Him💗

Love and Blessings,
Serena impressed me with her willingness to share her dreams with you. It’s not easy to put them out there if your not sure if it’s possible. But does fear keep you from chasing your own dreams? Read about two different women in this short post who chased their dreams.
