Glory To God In the Highest Heaven

I watched the babe all swaddled and sweet

Her little hands moved and her cute little feet

As she slept so quietly all snuggly and warm

I thought of baby Jesus on Christmas morn

His mother just a teenager of maybe sixteen

His father a man who had the angel believed

A family alone in a cold little stable

Someone one day would call this a fable

But the shepherds had seen the angels so glorious

As they sang the most beautiful, magnificent chorus

“Glory to God in the highest heaven”

The Shepherds went to see the child in Bethlehem

A babe had been sent to save the world from their sin

His father in heaven had decided it would be HIM

Today is the day, we celebrate Jesus birth

A sweet little baby sent to love those on earth.
