I look out the window
Sunshine is glowing
Leaves are falling
Fall whispers my name
Come dance with me
I call Mom
I take her to the dance
We walk the path
Red, orange and yellow
Our cheeks are pink
Eyes are bright
We chat as we wander
A magical land
Where problems fade
We dance together
Laughing with our date
Fall we call him
He bows and swirls
Captures our hearts
We are filled once again
With beauty.

Thank you! This is my first poem so your comment means a lot😊
You obviously are a natural 🙂
I love Autumn – maybe because it represents my stage of life! and your poem was beautifully written – also lovely to see you and your mum in the pic 🙂 Leanne | http://www.crestingthehill.com.au
Lol your stage of life-love that! That must mean we are in the most beautiful stage of life 😊 thank you for the lovely comment.
Cindy, your beautiful words took me to a place I haven’t been in over four years. Laura and I love spending time in the mountains, especially during fall. I am ashamed to admit how much I take for granted. It’s easy to love and enjoy God’s luxuries when everything seems in order. Life has caused a sense of appreciation for even the smallest of His details! Bless you for your portrait of words.
You and Laura more than any couple I know deserve a weekend to dance with Fall! Your serving hearts touch so many, I hope your future is full of fall moment! Thanks Jay for the encouragement🍁
Love this! Good job! You certainly captured the essence of what you were describing!
Thank you, Dawn! I’m so glad you took the time to read and comment. Feedback always helps the author 🙂
